First Session of The 96th CECF Concluded
Participants Exceeding 100 thousands, transactions reaching US$ 17.5 billion
The six-days fair of the first session of 96th CECF concluded with complete success on the October 20th. According to statistics, purchasers in the first session reached 100942 with an increase of 10.3% and 19.4%higher than the 94th’s, exceeding 100 thousands for the first time. Transactions reached US$17.5 billion, an new historical record with an increase of 8.7%, 34.6% higher than that of 94th.
Dominate momentum was saw in the number of purchasers in the first session of the 96th CECF. About 200 countries and region sent their purchasers with following characteristic:
1 Purchasers from Europe and US definitely increased. European purchasers were up to 17026 by 20th, 47.6% higher than last session and 51.4%higher than the 94th’s. US purchasers were 5678 with an increase of 11.4% than last session, 24.5%higher than the 94th’s.
2 The achievements of multinational purchasing group saw dominant increase. There are 47 enterprises in Top 200 Retailers in the World in this session; Five multinational companies setting their purchase stand held talks with 1922 exhibitors.
3 The proportion of new purchasers saw notable increase, and reached 50 thousand, accounting for 50% in total value.
Besides, Electronic Commerce provided an effective service on consultation for CECF. Page views of “CECF Online” , “Cantonfair” and “Online M&E CECF”, which are three websites of CECF, have reached 3573 with an increase of 6.7%. Total intent value accumulated US$220 million, up by 17.3%.
At present, the preparation for second session of the 96th CECF is going on.
